Plus as Ryuu says, you need to know where to aim, it isn't a simple as just landing shots, they need to be in the right place. Full broadside to a player that knows how to angle is suicide. I see this all the time, and it's generally the newer players with full HP ships, come out full broadside and shooting HE and wonder why they get deleted.
